20 May Groundbreaking Marks Next Chapter for Seminole County Fire Station 25
Seminole County recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Fire Station 25 in Casselberry, marking an important investment in the future of public safety for the surrounding community.
BBM Structural is proud to provide structural engineering services for the project, which will replace the County’s existing Station 25 facility originally constructed in 1975. The new station will nearly double the size of the current building and is designed to support the continued growth and operational demands of the area for decades to come.
Located along U.S. 17-92 adjacent to the Casselberry Police Department, the new 12,185 square foot facility will serve one of the busiest response areas in Seminole County. Call volume at Station 25 has increased significantly over the past decade, with crews currently responding to more than 5,400 calls annually.
Designed using the County’s established fire station prototype model, the facility will include three apparatus bays supporting Tower 25, Rescue 25, and a future Engine 25. The project also incorporates modern firefighter support spaces and operational features, including dedicated PPE storage, fitness areas, bunk rooms, offices, EMS supply storage, a standby generator, fueling depot, and direct source exhaust capture systems.
Projects like this reflect the importance of designing facilities that not only support emergency response but also the health, safety, and readiness of the crews serving the community every day.
BBM is proud to work alongside Schenkel Shultz Architecture, Wharton-Smith, and ZHA Properties on a project that will play an important role in Seminole County’s public safety infrastructure for years to come.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.
