19 May Recognizing Architectural Achievement at the AIA Orlando Awards

BBM Structural was proud to attend the 2025 AIA Orlando Design Awards Gala, held at the elegant Winter Park Event Center. The night was dedicated to recognizing outstanding architectural achievement and celebrating the creative force behind Florida’s built environment.

President Bora Erbilen, Associate Karen Petersen, Engineer Maggie Kirk, and other members of the BBM team joined a packed house of industry peers for an evening of meaningful connections and future collaboration.

The annual AIA Orlando Gala is one of Florida’s most prestigious and inclusive design honors. It spotlights exemplary work across both theoretical and built projects. Entries are judged by an independent panel of experts from academia and the design profession, and the evening brings together the area’s top design minds in a celebration of creativity, excellence, and progress.

While the evening offers plenty of great opportunities to connect, for BBM, it was also a moment to genuinely celebrate the accomplishments of our peers, especially our long-time collaborators, many of whom have become more than colleagues over the years. Supporting their achievements and sharing in the excitement of the night is always a meaningful reminder of the relationships that make this industry so rewarding.
