Project Scope:

Ocean Reef Executive Terminal is a new 2,500-square-foot private aviation facility located within the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida. Designed to enhance the arrival experience for members and guests, the terminal provides a welcoming space that combines functionality with the character of one of South Florida’s premier private communities.

Serving as the project’s structural engineer, BBM Structural Engineers collaborated with Schenkel Shultz and CBT Construction Development to deliver a one-story facility designed for long-term performance in a coastal environment. The building was elevated to the required floodplain elevation and constructed on a five-foot stem wall around the perimeter to address site resilience and flood protection requirements.

The approximately $5 million project includes passenger gathering spaces, a lounge, boutique retail area, and dedicated pilot accommodations, creating a comfortable and efficient environment for private aviation operations while complementing the architecture and setting of Ocean Reef Club.
