BBM Structural provided structural engineering services for a new two-story, 30,000-square-foot nursing building at Daytona State College’s Deltona campus. The building, designed by Schenkel Shultz, houses nursing, sonography, and CNC machining programs and includes classrooms, medical simulation labs, offices, a bookstore, a grab-n-go food court, and a shaded courtyard. The facility accommodates 120 nursing students, 40 CNC machining students, and 100 sonography students. Constructed by AJAX Construction, a key feature of the building is its innovative blueprint for the labs and simulation rooms, which differentiates it from other designs.
