24 May Marking a Milestone: Celebrating Another Successful Topping Out
BBM Structural recently enjoyed joining the Topping Out Celebration for the newest addition to The Villages community in Central Florida: the Middleton Town Center & Shallow Creek Country Club. Hosted by contractor Wharton-Smith, this event brought together the architects of Schenkel Shultz, the structural engineers of BBM, and many more professionals under one roof to enjoy a meal and celebrate this significant milestone.
The Villages, renowned as one of the premier active adult retirement communities in the United States, spans three counties in central Florida and offers a unique lifestyle for its residents. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, The Villages provides an array of amenities, including golf courses, recreational centers, shopping, dining, and healthcare facilities, catering to the needs and interests of its community members.
Middleton Town Center, the latest development in this expansive community, is designed to serve as a central hub for residents. It aims to enhance the quality of life for all community members by providing a range of services and amenities. Adjacent to the town center, the Shallow Creek Country Club offers recreational opportunities and social interactions, featuring state-of-the-art facilities for golf, dining, and events.
The traditional Topping-out Celebration marks the placement of the last beam atop the structure. This event celebrates the extensive efforts and teamwork of everyone involved in reaching this milestone. As part of the festivities, our team was able to have a complete walkthrough of the progress of this essential element to the continued development of this neighborhood.
