BBM Structural Celebrates Friends & Triumphs at the AIA Orlando 2024 Design Awards Gala

The American Institute of Architects (AIA), Orlando Chapter, recently hosted its 2024 Design Awards Gala at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando. This event brings together Central Florida’s talented design community and honors the year’s most outstanding projects.

BBM Structural was happy to attend the gala, celebrating alongside our industry peers, clients, and friends and honoring their architectural achievements. Among the highlights of the evening were three award-winning projects in which BBM Structural played a significant role.

        1. Packing District YMCA, Orlando FL (Built Category): Architect: RLF, Contractor: Bradfield & Gorrie
        2. Innovation Tower, Orlando FL (Built Category): Architect: Hunton Brady, Contractor: Batson Cook
        3. International School of Hospitality and Tourism, Montego Bay, Jamaica (Unbuilt Category): Architect: DLR Group

These structures exemplify architectural creativity and innovative structural engineering and reflect how effectively BBM Structural has collaborated with architects to bring a design from concept to reality.

When it comes to architects and structural engineers, we share a common language of design and construction. Architects inspire with their designs, and we, as structural engineers, enhance these designs by ensuring safety and sustainability. By working together as a team, not as individuals, we can achieve our shared goal of creating exceptional structures. We deeply value the enduring relationships we have built with our esteemed partners in the architectural community, and it was a privilege to celebrate their achievements at the gala.

BBM Structural remains committed to supporting the architectural community and continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in structural engineering. We look forward to further collaborations and celebrating future design achievements.
