07 Oct Foundation Set for New Sentry Self Storage Facility in Coconut Creek
BBM Structural is excited to share that the foundation has officially been laid for a new Sentry Self Storage Facility located at the southwest corner of Coconut Creek Parkway and Lyons Road. This marks the start of vertical construction for what will become a key piece of a broader mixed-use development in the area.
Once complete, the facility will span approximately 120,000 square feet across four to five stories, featuring limited-access storage with steel-beam framing, concrete composite slabs on steel decks, and a 10′ x 10′ grid system throughout. The foundation system includes a combination of interior mat slab and perimeter shallow bearing footings, designed to support long-term performance and site-specific loads. The exterior walls will consist of CMU (Concrete Masonry Unit) construction.
The site is part of a growing development that will also be home to Conviva Care Center, Sprouts Farmers Market, Cali Coffee, and other retail and service spaces—further integrating storage access into a dynamic and convenient location for the Coconut Creek community.
While this facility will feature CMU wall systems, BBM continues to bring the same level of structural precision and coordination to this project as we do for our award-winning tilt-up storage facilities throughout Florida. With a strong portfolio of storage centers recognized by the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, our experience in designing durable, efficient, and well-coordinated building systems remains at the core of every solution we provide. We are well-versed in a variety of structural systems and construction methods, tailoring each design to meet the project’s performance needs and constraints.
We look forward to sharing progress as construction moves forward and another high-performing storage facility takes shape.
