11 Mar One Day, Two Courses, One Shared Purpose
Golf tournaments have long been part of BBM’s culture. In Florida, it may be easy to assume that means sunshine and a good swing, but for us, these events represent something more meaningful: the chance to support the communities we serve and connect with the partners who help make our projects possible.
This week, BBM participated in two tournaments, each supporting organizations that make a lasting impact across Central Florida.
Supporting the American Cancer Society
BBM began the week with the Central Florida ACS Golf Classic, held at the renowned Isleworth Golf & Country Club. The event is part of the American Cancer Society’s national golf series that brings together industry partners across the country to raise funds for cancer research, patient support, and lifesaving programs.
The evening before the tournament, BBM representatives attended the Sunday Soirée at Enzo’s on the Lake, where organizers shared the mission and purpose behind the event and the work the American Cancer Society continues to do nationwide.
On tournament day, BBM proudly served as the Putting Contest Sponsor, with Nathan Morrow and Nate Mittag representing the firm on the course alongside Chris Hall and Jeremy Cox of JL2 Architecture.
The beautiful setting at Isleworth provided a fitting backdrop for a day focused on generosity and supporting the ongoing fight against cancer. The cause is especially meaningful to our team, as cancer survivors are part of the BBM family, making the mission of the American Cancer Society one we proudly stand behind.
Driving Support for Education in Seminole County
On the same day, BBM returned to the course for the Golf FORE Education Tournament, benefiting the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools. Held at The Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes, the event raised more than $108,000 to support students, teachers, and educational programs throughout the district.
BBM participated as an Eagle Sponsor, with Luis Bedoya and Ariel Neris joining Patrick Rauch of Schenkel Shultz and Corey Craig of Realty Trust Group as part of the day’s foursome.
Funds raised from the tournament support initiatives that directly impact local students and classrooms, including career and technical education programs, classroom grants for teachers, school supplies for students experiencing homelessness, and college scholarships. Recent investments have even helped equip high school culinary programs with commercial-grade kitchen equipment so students can earn certifications and prepare for careers in hospitality. BBM has had the privilege of working with Seminole County Schools for nearly 30 years, supporting the district as its campuses continue to grow and evolve.
More Than a Day on the Course
At BBM, participating in events like these reflects our broader commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work. Whether the focus is advancing cancer research or strengthening educational opportunities for the next generation, we are proud to stand alongside organizations that make a real difference.
And yes, in Florida, it helps that these moments often happen on a beautiful golf course.
