BBM Structural provided structural engineering services for Sarasota County’s new Emergency Management Services (EMS) Administration Facility—a 28,418-square-foot essential facility designed to house fire services and EMS operations.
The facility was designed and constructed to meet hardened building standards, with backup generator systems to ensure continuous operation during critical events. In addition to its functional mission, the building was designed to complement adjacent County facilities, both programmatically and architecturally.
BBM worked closely with the project team to integrate sustainable design strategies that support high-performance goals and LEED certification. The project also included structural accommodations for expanded infrastructure connected to the nearby Emergency Operations Center, including chilled water systems, generator capacity, and site improvements.
