Location:
Boca Raton, FL
Project Scope:
BBM Structural provided structural engineering services for the North Boca Sentry Storage facility, a three-story, 121,019-square-foot limited-access storage building located on North Federal Highway in Boca Raton. The structure features tilt-up concrete exterior walls and a 10′ x 10′ interior column grid supporting composite steel deck framing on junior steel beams.
Roof framing was designed on a 20′ x 20′ grid using steel joists and girders, with transfer girders used to span over column-free areas as needed. Foundations include shallow bearing wall footings and a mat slab system supporting the interior columns.
This project was recognized with a 2025 Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) Tilt-Up Achievement Award, which honors some of the most outstanding tilt-up projects in the industry. As part of this recognition, the project will be published in Tilt-Up Today magazine and formally celebrated at the Tilt-Up Awards Gala during the 2025 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo in Nashville on October 1st.
BBM’s structural engineering approach emphasized coordinated framing systems and tilt-up design efficiency, supporting the project’s architectural and functional goals while delivering a durable solution for long-term facility operations.
