 Marion County High School “CCC”

Location:
Ocala, FL

Project Scope:

BBM Structural is providing structural engineering services for Marion County Public Schools’ newest high school campus, the first built in the county since 2003. Located on a 115-acre site in Southwest Marion County, the project totals 346,000 square feet and will accommodate 1,800 student stations upon completion.

A key structural milestone was recently reached with the completion of tilt-up panel erection. BBM designed and coordinated the installation of 367 tilt-up concrete panels across three primary building complexes. This system forms the exterior walls for classroom buildings, the administrative core, auditorium, cafeteria, and specialty lab spaces. The tilt-up scope included comprehensive lift planning, edge reinforcement, embedded hardware coordination, and integration with second and third-story structural framing systems. BBM’s expertise in tilt-up engineering enabled an efficient and safe erection process to be completed ahead of schedule.

The facility includes 61 classrooms, 20 specialty labs, a media center, art and music suites, a full-service cafeteria, an 800-seat performing arts auditorium, and administrative offices. The gymnasium seats 1,332, and the athletic stadium will accommodate 2,000 spectators. The site design supports additional future expansion.

BBM will continue to support construction throughout project delivery and will update progress as the campus approaches completion.
