Palm Beach Aviation Grows with BBM’s Structural Expertise

A milestone moment unfolded in West Palm Beach as BBM joined partners to celebrate the grand opening of Signature Aviation’s newest FBO facilities at Palm Beach International Airport. Representing BBM were Principal Ariel Neris, Sr. BIM Tech Nate Mittag, and Associate Karen Petersen, who joined members of the design and construction team to mark the completion of this high-profile aviation hub.

The project includes a two-story, 14,000 square foot private terminal, three state-of-the-art hangars totaling 120,000 square feet, and a 2,400 square foot Ground Service Equipment (GSE) facility. Signature’s Palm Beach location ranks third in air traffic volume among its national portfolio, making this upgrade a significant milestone in both functionality and service delivery.

This is also Signature’s first facility designed since becoming a private company, a model they plan to follow in future locations. BBM worked closely with Hanson Design Group Architecture, whose team members Craig Hanson and Natalia Aguzino were also on hand for the opening.

As structural engineer of record, BBM designed the systems to support open span interiors, long-term durability, and operational flexibility in a demanding coastal environment. The result is a modern, high-performance aviation facility that enhances the traveler experience while expanding Signature’s presence in South Florida.

This project builds on BBM’s growing aviation portfolio, combining deep technical expertise with a commitment to service-driven environments. Learn more about our aviation work here.
