25 Jun BBM Structural Joins AIA Orlando for Sold-Out FAPAC Fundraiser
For the second year in a row, BBM Structural joined the AIA Orlando FAPAC Bowling Tournament, this time as a Lane Sponsor. The sold-out 2025 event raised funds for the Florida Architects Political Action Committee (FAPAC), which helps architects influence legislation that affects their work. Last year, we participated as a food sponsor and proudly returned this year to continue our support of the cause.
Architecture remains one of the most highly regulated professions, and FAPAC ensures architects have a voice in shaping the policies that impact the built environment. Events like this help build awareness and elect lawmakers who understand and support AIA’s mission. In recent years, FAPAC has strategically backed candidates who now serve in key decision-making roles. Our sponsorship contributes to that momentum and reinforces the role structural engineers play in supporting the profession.

Alex Straughn, the AIA Orlando President, speaking at the event.

The BBM Team
The tournament took place on June 20 at Aloma Bowl in Winter Park. Architects, engineers, and industry professionals filled the lanes for an evening of bowling, conversation, and shared purpose. While BBM didn’t come out a tournament winner, we had a fantastic night connecting with friends and colleagues from across the AEC community. The atmosphere was relaxed and energized, creating space for both fun and meaningful dialogue.
At BBM Structural, we stand with our architectural partners both on and off the job site. Supporting events like the FAPAC Bowling Tournament reflects our ongoing commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and the future of our profession. We look forward to continuing our involvement in the years to come.
