22 Oct BBM Connects at the 2025 NCSEA Summit
BBM Structural continues to invest in the professional development and technical leadership of our team. This October, several of our firm’s leaders traveled to New York City for the 2025 NCSEA Structural Engineering Summit, joining peers from across the country to engage in dialogue around innovation, evolving codes, and the future of the profession. Representing BBM were President Bora Erbilen, Principal Luis Bedoya, Associate Nathan Morrow, and Senior Project Manager Maggie Kirk.
This annual summit brings together hundreds of structural engineers, industry experts, and solution providers for a multi-day program focused on the advancement of structural engineering practice, leadership development, and innovation. From exploring updates to codes and standards to engaging in thoughtful discussions on resilience, sustainability, and inclusion, the event provided valuable insight into the direction of the profession.
Throughout the week, BBM team members participated in technical sessions, case study reviews, and business-focused panels, earning continuing education credits while expanding their knowledge in areas ranging from advanced analysis techniques to project management and business operations. The summit also featured the Structural Engineering Engagement and Equity (SEE) Awards, which celebrated outstanding design work and highlighted the creativity and ingenuity that define the field.
In addition to the educational content, the event’s exhibit hall showcased the latest technologies, tools, and materials shaping the industry. BBM’s team enjoyed connecting with fellow professionals and exploring the evolving landscape of structural engineering resources.
As a firm committed to continuous growth and technical excellence, BBM values opportunities like the NCSEA Summit to stay at the forefront of the profession and bring back new ideas that benefit both our team and our clients.
