BBM and Schenkel Shultz: Building for The Villages

At BBM Structural, we believe the best projects are those that allow us to make a lasting impact — not only through the structures we design, but also through the communities we serve and the partnerships we form. One of our recent highlights is our contribution to the expansion of The Villages Charter School (TVCS), where we had the privilege of working on the new Villages High School campus in the growing Middleton community.

The Villages has long been known as “Florida’s Friendliest Hometown,” and now with the development of Middleton, it extends that vision to a younger generation. Being part of this unique, forward-thinking community has been an honor for BBM, as we share in the mission to create inspiring, sustainable spaces where students can grow and thrive.

A project of this scale — over 383,000 square feet of state-of-the-art learning environments — demanded a design team with a shared commitment to excellence. BBM is proud to have collaborated once again with our long-time colleagues and friends at Schenkel Shultz Architecture. Together, we helped bring to life a campus that mirrors a collegiate environment, complete with advanced classrooms, STEM labs, flexible learning spaces, a Performing Arts Academy, and a cutting-edge Athletic Complex that serves not only the students but the broader Central Florida community.

Our commitment to education runs deep. From K-12 schools to major university projects, BBM has always believed that great learning environments lay the groundwork for future success. The Villages Charter School is a shining example — nationally recognized and consistently earning top grades, it’s a place where students thrive.

We’re proud that our engineering expertise could help bring this vision to life. The new campus features advanced classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, a Performing Arts Academy, and a cutting-edge Athletic Complex, all designed to foster both academic and personal growth.

As The Villages and Middleton continue to grow, BBM is excited to stand alongside these communities, building not just structures, but opportunities for the next generation.
