A New Chapter Begins at Orange Technical College East Campus

Last week, BBM Structural joined project partners, elected officials, and community leaders for the ribbon-cutting of the new Orange Technical College East Campus, a major milestone in expanding access to high-quality technical education in Central Florida.

The new 110,000 square foot facility, designed by DLR Group and built by CPPI, brings together Orange Technical College’s programs in Information Technology, Digital Arts, AV, and Business under one roof. Located next to University High School and near both UCF and Full Sail University, the campus is strategically positioned to support student success and workforce readiness.

BBM provided structural engineering services for the project, working closely with the design and construction teams to deliver a durable and adaptable system that supports the diverse needs of modern technical training. Classrooms, labs, and shared spaces were designed to encourage collaboration, hands-on learning, and long-term flexibility.

In attendance at the event were Superintendent Maria Vasquez, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, State Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith, and State Representative Anna Eskamani, along with community partners, students, and alumni who have helped shape and support OTC’s continued growth. BBM team member David Baker was proud to represent the firm at the event.

This project marks BBM’s second collaboration with Orange Technical College, following our work on the West Campus, which opened in 2023. Supporting both campuses reflects BBM’s continued commitment to shaping the future of career and technical education in Central Florida. Our team is proud to deliver structural solutions that support modern learning environments, empower students, and strengthen workforce pipelines across the region.

We are proud to support OCPS and its partners in creating learning environments that make a lasting impact.
