08 Dec Celebrating Progress: Two New Topping Out Milestones for BBM Projects
BBM Structural recently joined partners and community leaders to mark two major construction milestones. Each event highlights BBM’s ongoing role in delivering impactful structures that support the needs of growing communities across Florida.
Dr. Phillips Packing District Office Building
On November 19, the BBM team gathered with HuntonBrady Architects, Welbro Building Corporation, and Dr. Phillips Charities to celebrate the topping out of the new Dr. Phillips Packing District Office Building.
This 40,000-square-foot Class A office space is being built at the historic Great Southern Box Company site in Orlando. Designed to support the continued redevelopment of the Packing District, the building will offer modern workspaces that reflect the area’s long-standing commitment to health, wellness, and economic growth. The structure will serve as a key part of Dr. Phillips Charities’ vision for a more connected and vibrant Orlando.
BBM Structural is proud to provide structural engineering for this facility, helping ensure it will meet the long-term needs of tenants while complementing the district’s evolving identity.
Mount Sinai Medical Center – Westchester Emergency Department
BBM also participated in the topping out of the new Mount Sinai Medical Center Westchester Free-Standing Emergency Department in Miami. This project brings vital emergency care closer to residents in the Westchester area, expanding Mount Sinai’s reach and helping reduce pressure on other nearby facilities.
The new building will include 11 exam rooms, trauma and resuscitation bays, imaging technology including CT and X-ray, and laboratory services. BBM worked closely with the project team to ensure the structural systems would support the technical requirements of a medical facility while allowing flexibility and resilience for years to come.
Looking Ahead
Topping out ceremonies are a time-honored tradition in construction, but for BBM they are also a reminder of what is possible when experienced teams come together with a shared goal. From commercial offices to advanced healthcare facilities, we continue to support our partners with engineering solutions that prioritize safety, performance, and long-term impact.
We congratulate our friends at Dr. Phillips Charities, Mount Sinai Medical Center, HuntonBrady Architects, and Welbro Building Corporation for reaching these important milestones, and we look forward to seeing both projects completed and serving their communities soon.
