Location:
Daytona Beach, FL
Project Scope:
BBM Structural is providing structural engineering services for the new Fire Station No. 1 and Administration Building for the City of Daytona Beach. This 25,000-square-foot, two-story facility will serve as the city’s central fire station and administrative headquarters.
Designed by JL2 Architecture with production support from PGAL and constructed by Wharton-Smith, the facility includes apparatus bays, administrative offices, training areas, and support spaces. BBM’s scope consists of the design and coordination of the full structural system—gravity and lateral—for an essential facility designed to meet stringent code requirements, including wind and impact loads appropriate for emergency service operations in coastal Florida.
As construction progresses, BBM continues to work closely with the whole project team to ensure the building’s structural framework supports both the operational needs of the fire department and the project’s performance, safety, and budget goals.
