23 Oct Teeing Off for a Good Cause: BBM’s Support of Golf Tournament Fundraisers

BBM Structural has called sunny Florida its home for over four decades.  Because of the year-round pleasant climate and world-class golf courses, it’s the perfect setting to combine a love for the game with a chance to give back to the community, another hallmark of our firm.

Education has always tugged closely to BBM’s heart, and we are always proud to support local schools through any means possible. This time, we had the chance to participate in two charity golf tournaments with this goal.

Lake County Schools Scott A. Strong Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament

BBM sponsored a foursome and was a T-Box Sponsor for this prestigious tournament held at Harbor Hills Country Club. The BBM team included Construction Manager Mark Matzinger, Ethan Matzinger, Gabe Bedoya, and BBM intern David Villarrag. Founded by Scott Strong in 2004, the tournament has raised over $1 million to support essential educational programs, award grants for innovative teaching practices, and provide scholarships to local students.

The Foundation for Orange County Public Schools 24th Annual “FORE Our Schools” Golf Tournament

BBM participated as a Beverage Cart Sponsor for this annual event at Champions Gate. The BBM team included Principals Luis Bedoya and Nathan Morrow, our Senior BIM Technician Nate Mittag, and Luca DelVerme from AVCON. Established in 1987, the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools serves over 210,000 students and supports 213 schools. The Foundation’s 28-member board of directors is committed to public education and brings both breadth and depth in knowledge and skills from the business community and education sector.  

These events are instrumental in raising funds for educational foundations, which directly benefit students in the district. We believe in giving back to the community and enjoy continuing to foster strong relationships with our peers and clients. BBM’s involvement in these charity golf tournaments reflects our commitment to giving back to the community and supporting local education. We are proud to contribute to the success of these important initiatives and look forward to continuing our involvement in future events.
